Just reconsidering the wonder of our covenant with the Living God has greatly refreshed my soul!  I believe that is just what the Lord intended.  Probably what the whole "abide in Me" thing was about in John 15.  Yet if we are not practicing pace and Sabbath we can lose our grip so easily.  This is why Dallas Willard said, "It is the responsibility of every Christian to carve out a soul satisfying life under the loving rule of God so that sin will not look good."
Be sure to carve out a chunk of soul satisfying time today!

Hi folks.  Given what Pastor Tom talked about last Sunday (Shabbat: "to cease"/Sabbath) I'm wondering.  What are some things you have decided to stop and what are some things you are resolving to do?

We are praying for you as you launch into the Story with us!  This week's message is foundational to all the others.  If we don't reset our inner clocks to move with the rhythm of God; hurry will surely rob us from real spiritual growth.  Encourage all your group to do serious battle with today's "rush".  As one author has written: "hurry isn't from the devil...hurry IS the devil!"

When Jesus called you to come along he was inviting you into the Greatest Story ever.  You are now part of His family, His plan, His redemptive team and certainly part of His story!   Now you can be part of His blog!!! :-)  Not really...it's just ours; but we can share our stories with one another in a manner that encourages heart and propels us on in the journey.  So I invite you to hop in and write a chapter or two.
